Applying for a Shetland Community Broadband Project connection
Should you wish to apply for a Shetland Community Broadband account this can be done on-line using the "REGISTER NOW" button, but first there are a few important points to consider:
  • The service is only available to the first 50 applicants in each area.
  • You will be committing to a minimum contracted period of 1 year at a charge of £17.99 per month (Prices include VAT)
  • To qualify for free installation your application must be submitted before 30th April 2009, an installation fee will be payable after this date.
  • The service will be provided by a wireless connection and an aerial will be attached to the outside of your premises, an internal Ethernet socket will be provided to which you may connect your equipment. All equipment supplied remains the property of Shetland Community Broadband Project.
  • Receipt of your order will be acknowledged but will not be confirmed until we can ensure that your premises can receive adequate radio coverage. We may need to contact you for your precise location and a site visit may be required before your order can be accepted.
  • Remember this is only a trial with a duration of 3 years at the end of which the service will be reviewed.

Registration Form
You will be able to register for a connection to Vidlin and Fetlar community broadband by on-line form only, This form went live on Monday 16th March.
