e-mail Frequently Asked Questions
The two main types of mail service supported are POP3 (Post Office Protocol version 3) and Webmail both of which are described in more detail below. Either can be used independently or together on an e-mail address (subject to account status). Other more specialised mail services are available, please contact us for further details
With this type of mail delivery, your mail is held on our mail server, and you can then use any suitable POP3 client software (Outlook Express is such a program and is supplied as part of Microsoft Windows) to collect the mail from the server while connected to the internet. Your mail is protected on the server by a User Name and a password which we will supply to you. With POP3 mail you may collect your mail from the server through any internet connection anywhere Webmail is in effect a POP3 mail client on a web page. Our web mail is accessible at http://webmail.calloo.co.uk where you can log on to your required mail box with a User Name and a password which we will supply to you. If you have a Webmail account you will also be able to access your mail using POP3 (see above). |
